Most herbal medicines are relatively mild and gentle on the human body and Brahmi is no different. There are no known side effects and it can be taken by practically anyone, irrespective of age and gender. There are no addictive components to this herb, making it safe to use Brahmi for extended periods of time without any fear of addiction. However, since not enough is known about the use of Brahmi by conventional medicine, doctors advise to use precaution for pregnant women, breast-feeding mothers or heart patients.
As with any other natural medicine, Brahmi may take up to 3-4 weeks to show its effect but overall, it is one of the most important Ayurvedic super herbs!
