PM Narendra Modi is number one global leader, says Harvard study

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has added another feather in his cap as a study conducted by Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government found him to be the top global leader whose maximum policies got approved by the citizens of the country.

As per a report published in The Economic Times, Modi, with, 87.8% approval for his policies, comfortably pipped US President Barack Obama who is ranked 20th with 44.8%. The report is based on a survey of citizens across 30 nations on 10 influential leaders having a global impact.

Narendra Modi, after taking charge of 15th prime minister of India, has been high on popularity all over the world. Prior to this, PM Modi made record when his fan following on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter touched 25 million and 8 million, respectively.

Also, he was the most sought after personality in all the foreign visits he made this year. Narendra Modi was much appreciated and well received all over the world for his business-friendly policies and efforts to improve relations with different nations.

Earlier this month, Narendra Modi won the readers’ poll of ‘Time’s Person of the Year’ title. Also, he was the most searched personality-cum-politician on Google throughout 2014.

The study describes Modi as one of the four leaders who enjoy high levels of confidence in handling both domestic and international affairs. The other three on this ‘elite’ list are Merkel, Putin and Xi Jinping.
