Vaastu has some guidelines for locating a cash box. It is believed that following these principles will lead to prosperity and success.
Here are some basic guidelines:
- A cash box must never be near the main door, back door, a window, or ventilator.
- It must never be against any of the four corners of a room.
- A cash box must never be very close to or against a door.
- It must not be in the last or first rooms, or near the main gate.
- The south and south-west are the best places for a cash box. It must face the east, north or northeast. It must not be against the south or west walls. It must never face the south, west or south-west.
- A cash box must never be visible from the bathroom, toilet, store room, main gate, kitchen, puja room, stairway or basement.
- If a cash box is visible from the main door, it is believed that all the wealth will be drained out. So, avoid having a cash box in front of the main door facing the gate.
- It must not be in the last or first rooms, or near the main gate.
